RSXT FEAT. WEBSTER

The Hamburg-based (by choice) musicians are back after their extremely energetic debut concert in January. RSxT—the Roman Schuler Extended Trio—pushes boundaries. That’s what the “X” in the band’s name stands for: the blending of genres and sounds. Groovy piano trio jazz driven by hip-hop beats and surrounded by electronic sounds. The range of this perfectly in-sync trio spans from ethereal jazz ballads to organic techno tracks. RSxT lets you relax—only for your body to find itself unable to resist dancing the very next moment. Roman Schuler is one of those musicians who expands jazz to include hip-hop, fusion grooves, and electronic music, while also incorporating contemporary digital performance tools—such as the music software Ableton—into his work. That’s why he calls his trio “extended.” Technically, it’s a trio, but the richness of the sound suggests a larger ensemble.

Today, saxophonist and singer Webster is joining them as a guest. He is known for his musical bridge between genres and cultures and manages to unite hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and reggae. As a sideman and studio musician, Webster is known, among other things, for his collaborations with Silvan Strauss, Jesué, and Farhot. His band, Webster, has been performing regularly since 2022 as the opening act for Flo Mega and at trendy and renowned festivals and clubs throughout Germany.
