Sascha Paar: Heimatkörper

An intergenerational dance project about identity and memory

In Heimatkörper, the post-war child, the dancer Karl Reinisch, meets his young colleague Sascha Paar. Both have lost their roles: One ended his career as a dancer, the other had to close his life's work, the ballet school. Two selves without labels, for whom the stage becomes a field of memory. A terrain for two bodies with all their imprints, contradictions and attributions, which are slowly and tentatively uncovered. Between seriousness and comedy, an archive of two lives is created, a bridge between the generations. Heimatkörper asks what remains when attributions become fragile - and what happens when two bodies with a 50-year age difference meet.
