This visible form of mending combines sustainability, creativity, and a slower pace of life. You’ll discover how signs of wear can be transformed into small works of art and why people around the world are embracing visible mending.

What can you expect?

In this workshop, you’ll learn the traditional basics of Boro & Sashiko and work with authentic Sashiko needles and threads. You’ll mend damaged areas, embellish a garment, or create entirely new pieces.

Numerous templates, patterns, and design ideas, along with a wide selection of carefully chosen fabrics and threads, will guide you, offer inspiration, and invite you to create something new in a relaxed atmosphere and creative community.

I’m Paula, and I’ll be guiding you through the workshop. As a trained textile designer with many years of experience in the fashion industry, I bring creativity, in-depth knowledge of materials, and a passion for handcrafted work to the table.
