Schaubühne Sommerkino - Open Air

Cinema in a light and airy atmosphere at last. This summer, the Schaubühne will once again be showing its excellent film program in the open air. Great cinema on the big screen, directly in front of the Plagwitzer Markthalle (Markranstädter Str. 8). Its café also offers drinks and tasty snacks, regionally produced and ecologically certified. Cool nights and hot evenings guaranteed!

After last year's great success, our "Film | Music | Films" series will return in 2024 - on selected dates with live music before the start of each movie. Of course, our 94/24 anniversary tour to celebrate the Schaubühne's milestone birthday will also be making a stop at the summer cinema.
To kick things off, we will be working with the Plagwitzer Markthalle and other local partners to present films from May 29 to June 12, 2024 under the motto "In food we trust" during two action weeks for food culture. Not only with our opening film "Ernte teilen", we offer cinematic fare and the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas about good food.
