Schloss & Gut Liebenberg - Lesung mit Wissenschaftshistorikerin Petra Werner
In the organizer's words:
Petra Werner: Otto H. Warburg at Liebenberg Castle & Estate
Starting in late August, the DKB Foundation for Social Engagement invites you to a diverse program of readings, history, art, and theater at the historic complex of Liebenberg Castle & Estate.
Author and historian of science Petra Werner will open the program with a chapter of Liebenberg’s history that has received little attention to date: Nobel Prize in Medicine laureate Otto H. Warburg, who relocated his institute to the Seehaus at Liebenberg Castle & Estate during the final years of the war, from 1943 to 1945. Werner’s new book not only traces an extraordinary biography but also, drawing on new eyewitness accounts and previously unknown documents, reveals surprising connections to intelligence agents and the women who supported them.
You can find the complete program at Schloss & Gut Liebenberg at:https://www.dkb-stiftung.de/veranstaltungskalender/
