Elector Carl Theodor von der Pfalz had the Benrath pleasure and hunting palace built 270 years ago. During this long period, maintenance work has been necessary time and again, but the last construction work was carried out more than 40 years ago. The palace buildings have been successively renovated since 2021. Prof. Dr. Stefan Schweizer, Scientific Director of the Benrath Foundation and Park, gives us an exclusive insight behind the palace walls and into the park.
