Sebastian Studnitzky – Memento Odesa

The project Memento Odesa by composer, jazz trumpeter and pianist Sebastian Studnitzky is a poignant modern-classical homage to the city and its inhabitants in the midst of the Russian war of aggression. Recorded in July 2023 at the Odesa Philharmonic Hall with the Odesa Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Volodymyr Dikiy, the music reflects the indomitable spirit of a people under siege, the memories of a distant past and the uncertainty of the future. To raise additional awareness and generate proceeds for local aid organizations such as www.childrenofheroes.com, Sebastian Studnitzky will be touring Germany with his musicians and parts of the Odesa Symphonic Orchestra in March. We are delighted that Memento Odesa will be performing exclusively at Westend Vibes in Munich!
The extraordinary concert evening will open with the duo of Studnitzky and the Ukrainian pianist Andrii Pokaz.
