Dersim-born musician Şengül Pak meets her audience with her powerful female voice, her deep culture of remembrance and music in her mother tongue. She interprets the traditional kılams, laments and melodies of the Dersim region in a contemporary form and sees music not only as an expression of cultural identity, but also as remembrance and resistance.

The artist has lived in Germany for many years and is considered one of the most important female voices in Kurdish (Zazaian/Kirmanckî) language music. In addition to her singing, she also performs on stage with flute and tembur, creating an independent musical narrative that combines tradition and the present.

In recent years, Şengül Pak has continued her tembur training, adding another instrument to her musical language. On stage, she impressively conveys the central importance of music in the mother tongue and the connection to cultural roots for personal identity.

In her upcoming concerts, Şengül Pak invites the audience on an emotional and collective journey - from the soundscapes of Dersim to her previous solo works and pieces from her new album
