In all the colors of sound

When it sparkles and shimmers, when it becomes transparent and at the same time shines in all colors, then it is quickly clear who is sitting at the piano: Seong-Jin Cho, the sound magician who became famous in 2015 when he won the prestigious Chopin Competition - an exclusive artist contract with Deutsche Grammophon followed. He was already considered a pop star in his native South Korea. A fame that he himself only acknowledges with a smile. Because what really inspires him are the sound worlds of each composer, into which he delves deeply with each new program: Chopin was followed by Debussy, Mozart by Schubert and Handel. Somehow it is clear that he is now setting out to explore the colorful cosmos of the French tone painter in the Ravel year 2025. A journey on which we are only too happy to accompany him!
