One of the world's most important festivals of Yiddish culture is coming to Cologne for the first time: Yiddish Summer Weimar.

Alan Bern brings a "best of" from over 25 years - with outstanding musicians and a program that brings the entire spectrum of Yiddish music to life: from klezmer to folk, from traditional sounds to new forms.

What makes it special: This evening is more than just a concert. Music, storytelling and images intertwine and provide an insight into the unique atmosphere of the festival. Short films show award-winning international projects such as the Caravan Orchestra & Choir, the YAM Ensemble and the Kadya Choir. There are also impressions of dance balls, jam sessions and open-air concerts - lively, direct and full of energy.
