SHAPES OF CONNECTION celebrates dance in all its facets - as art, movement and an expression of emotion and community.

The photo exhibition by Paula Schür shows impressive portraits of urban and contemporary dancers that capture emotions and stories and make the power and vulnerability of movement visible. Workshops with dancers Willie Stark and Ekaterina Thor, groovy sets by DJ CHUTE and vegan snacks by Hempies make it a community event - by the scene for the scene, at Hempies Café in machwerkhaus köln. The focus is on the connection - between dance and photography, body and space, artist:in and viewer:in.
SHAPES OF CONNECTION thus becomes a place where movement builds bridges and new forms of encounter are created.

A big thank you to machwerkhaus köln for making the Hempies Café space available to us free of charge and thus creating visibility for the young dance and art scene.

For reasons of space, pre-registration by e-mail is required for the dance workshops.
