The Art of Blacksmithing Meets the Power of Sound: The opera saga “The Ring of the Nibelung” continues
Unaware of his origins, Siegfried is raised by the gruff dwarf Mime. Mime plans to use his fearless foster son to steal the treasure—including the ring—guarded by Fafner, and then kill Siegfried. But Siegfried sees through Mime’s murderous intentions, slays him, and follows the call of the forest bird to a mysterious woman sleeping on a rock. He finds and frees Brünnhilde. Can Wotan’s favorite daughter and the “pure fool” escape the curse of the ring?
