At the end of the year, the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne celebrates this composer of the century with illustrious guests.
Together with the Spanish star violinist Leticia Moreno and the brilliant Argentine bandoneonist Omar Massa, the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne will perform Piazzolla's "Four Seasons" as well as the bandoneon concerto "Aconcagua," named after the highest mountain in South America. But before the program culminates in Piazzolla's hit "Libertango," this New Year's Eve concert is rhythmically vibrant - including dances by Piazzolla's teacher Alberto Ginastera.
