There's the thing! Their fans had been camping outside their rehearsal room for years, waiting impatiently for a sign - until the white smoke finally rose! There were new songs, ideas, fantasies and with all the hot air of recent years, all it took was a tiny spark to set the whole place alight!

The curtain rises. And like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Simon & Jan take to the stage to turn the world upside down with their new program. Germany's most highly decorated singer-songwriter duo is as modest as ever. From fragile, tender numbers - carried by two guitars and two voices - to sophisticated loop arrangements and orchestral battle statements, everything is included. Simon & Jan are finally back and pouring their hearts out to us!

Simon & Jan are among the brightest and most entertaining voices on the German-speaking cabaret and singer-songwriter scene. With guitar, two-part vocals and razor-sharp lyrics, they have been dissecting the big and small absurdities of our time for years - pointedly, musically precise and with a good dose of self-irony.

Their songs tell of social contradictions, everyday observations and political imbalances without being preachy. Instead, Simon & Jan rely on subtle wordplay, surprising rhymes and a sense of timing that oscillates between quiet melancholy and uproarious laughter. Their programs move confidently between cabaret, concert and comedy and deliberately defy clear genre boundaries.
