In 2025, Simply Red will be celebrating their 40th anniversary as a band. To mark this impressive milestone, the band is going on tour again and telling their success story from the beginning to the present day - from "Picture Book" (1985) to "Time" (2023) and everything in between. In Germany, a date at the LANXESS arena is on the agenda for the fall: Simply Red will perform in Cologne on October 31, 2025.

Few bands can boast the success and longevity of Simply Red. With over 60 million albums sold worldwide, five No. 1 albums in the UK, 1.8 billion streams on streaming platforms worldwide and over 1 million YouTube subscribers, Simply Red is still one of the most successful and popular groups. Their classic "Stars" (1991) was the best-selling album in the UK and Europe for two years. All of Simply Red's 13 studio albums, including their latest release "Time", reached the Top 10 in the UK.

In 1985, Mick Hucknall formed Simply Red in working class Manchester and enjoyed early success with their first single 'Money's Too Tight (To Mention)' (1985) and BRIT Award nominated album 'Picture Book' (the first of 13 nominations and three BRIT Award wins). A decade followed in which the band enjoyed superstar status and produced worldwide hits. Even today, Simply Red's tours are sold out all over the world. Their concerts are of exceptional quality and Mick Hucknall has long been regarded as one of the greatest singers in modern music.

On October 31, 2025, Simply Red will make a guest appearance at the LANXESS arena in Cologne as part of their 40th band anniversary. The general advance sale starts on Friday, 18.10.2024, at 10.00 am.
