The three friends Jamila (9), Rachel (11) and Faseeha (12) are part of the rap project "Sisterqueens" in Berlin Wedding. Under the guidance of established female rappers, they learn to celebrate themselves and find their very own voice. Their lyrics are about feminism, discrimination and self-determination - topics that also shape their everyday lives. Over a period of four years, we immerse ourselves in the everyday world of the young rappers. Between rehearsals and their first concerts, the friends question social norms and support each other in going their own way. This observational documentary follows the three girls over several years as they take their first steps as young, self-confident artists, defying gender stereotypes in rap. (Hüneke, D 2024 - FSK 06)
