Solar Party: From Balcony Power Plants to Rooftop Solar Systems

Even right in the heart of Ehrenfeld, whether on your balcony, bike shed, or rooftop, you can harness the sun’s energy for yourself, save on electricity costs, and help protect the climate at the same time.
At theSolaroffensive Köln solar parties, a “packsdrauf Solar Ambassador” shares their experiences with their own solar system and gives ashort presentation with plenty of time for discussion about what you need to know to install your own system, whether on your balcony or roof: Is my roof or balcony suitable? Is the return on investment worth it? Where can I get grants? What are the first steps to getting started? And, is solar energy perhaps addictive?

The Solar Party is taking place in cooperation with the Green Agents.

The Green Agents network is an alliance of several immigrant and non-immigrant organizations and individuals from Cologne and the surrounding area who are committed to environmental justice. The network provides multilingual and accessible resources on nature conservation, climate change, and sustainability, because a clean environment and healthy food are important for everyone!

We at ökoRAUSCH want to use the “Summer Sun Solar”project to promote enthusiasm and interest in solar energy, break down barriers to using technology, and empower all of us to harness the sun’s energy. Our goal is crystal clear:We want more PV modules installed on Ehrenfeld’s roofs and balconies, on garden sheds and bike sheds!
