Sommerfest der Ulme35

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, we cordially invite you to this year’s summer festival! Starting at 3:00 p.m., visitors can look forward to a varied summer day full of music, socializing, food, and creativity on our spacious grounds—a celebration for everyone. Accompanied by music, relaxed conversations will unfold on the sunny terrace and in the lounge chairs over cool drinks and delicious treats. Hands-on activities invite young and old alike to try new things and connect with others. Whether playing chess or backgammon, hockey, or trying your hand at fan printing, crafts, and plant swaps—the festival offers a wonderful opportunity to see familiar faces again, meet new people in the neighborhood, and connect with one another.

The program is complemented by the international music group “Adar Ensemble,” which has been active for over 10 years. The “Adar Ensemble” primarily performs Kurdish melodies, and most of the lyrics are in various Kurdish dialects. International songs are also part of their repertoire. The music leaves plenty of room for free improvisation, and the interweaving of blues and rock elements is characteristic of their sound. “Adar Ensemble” plays both traditional Kurdish songs and many of their own compositions—sometimes wild and spirited, other times tender and soulful. The band sees its music as a small contribution against oppression and in support of diversity. DJ sets also provide musical accompaniment for the festival and invite everyone to dance.

As an intercultural community center, Ulme35 has been a place of togetherness, co-creation, and cultural diversity since 2017. The summer festival’s colorful program is put together each year by friends, artists, partners, and neighbors.
