Sommerfest des Künstlerverein Malkasten

In the organizer's words:

September 6 is just around the corner!

The Malkasten Artists’ Association invites you to its summer festival in Malkastenpark*, where, as usual, it will offer a rich program of artistic, musical, performative, culinary, and sensory experiences.

The official program begins around 1:00 p.m. with a welcome address by the board.

This year’s musical lineup features, among others, Slideshow, Duo Sand, Susanna Berivan, E.C.C. Septet, the bottomline, Future Jesus & The Electric Lucifer, and Sibb, performing on several stages throughout the park.

Claudia Mann, Gesine Grundmann, Lorenzo Pompa, and Timo Elmpt-Habel are creating a limited-edition series of beer mugs exclusively for the event, available only on-site.

Niclas Arenz, a young poet from Cologne, will be writing personalized poems on his typewriter.

We are pleased that Stephanie Seidel will present the publication on last year’s edition, “Borrowed Scenery,” of the Lantz’scher Skulpturenpark project.

Performances round out the artistic program.

Carl Brandi will guide visitors through the day, the park, and to all the venues.

Refreshments will be provided by Getränke Durst, the blanq Brewery, Weingut Kallfelz, Nørds Restaurant, Pizza Düsseldorf, Toi, Shari’s Kitchen, Hala Empanada, and our barbecue stand.

Admission: 8 euros (includes an admission pin designed by Max Hoffs)

We look forward to seeing you there.

*In case of inclement weather, the program will take place on a limited scale in the theater hall of the Künstlerverein Malkasten
