If their debut album *Coping Fantasies* was an emotional rest stop that made us forget our world-weariness—even if only for a moment—Power Plush are now zooming in their pink sports car down the fast lane into a new era. And of course: the old values are still important; it’s just that their negotiating position has changed. It’s a farewell to pastel colors, playful embellishments, and subtlety. Instead, things are getting more to the point. Back to the band’s punk roots, which fell victim to the COVID-19 pandemic. Back to the future.

Power Plush now sound more tangible, leaving their dreamy world behind and landing back in reality—a reality with all its rough edges that must be navigated—accompanied by a sound that feels bigger than it did a year and a half ago. A sound that bursts forth more boldly and breathes more intensely, that belongs on bigger stages and, above all, plays out in reality.

publik and have toured as the opening act for Tocotronic, Kraftklub, Blond, and the Leoniden, among others.
