Cuisines of the world - Delicious stories from Bonn

Bonn's food culture is as diverse as the people who live here. Different cultural backgrounds produce a rich variety of flavors, dishes and eating habits. From April 26 to June 28, 2026, the exhibition "Kitchens of the World - Precious Stories from Bonn" invites visitors to discover this diversity and become a part of it themselves.

The exhibition focuses on personal stories: Bonn residents who themselves or whose families come from Peru, India, Eritrea and France, among other places, talk about their experiences with food in video installations and wall quotes. These stories are complemented by selected objects that make memories visible.

In addition, interactive stations invite visitors to become active themselves. While a smelling station offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of spices with your own nose, another station allows you to share your own culinary preferences.

The many "precious stories" make it clear that food means community - the sharing of knowledge, culture and joy. Be it when passing on recipes, cooking together or enjoying a meal.
