South Arcade Announce German Tour Dates for March 2027
Presented byMessed!Up Magazine,Frontstage Magazine,andRausgegangen München
It starts with a flurry of online buzz and ends in a collective frenzy in sweat-soaked venues. View counts explode on social media, while at the same time absolute chaos breaks out on stages around the world. The British quartet South Arcade from Oxford has created a radical, untamed hybrid that shatters all genre boundaries.
Their story sounds like the script for the perfect pop myth. Singer Harmony Cavelle and guitarist Harry Winks have known each other since childhood, have been making music together for ages, and finally ended up at the University of Surrey in Guildford in 2021. Through an ad, they sought out like-minded musicians for a daring experiment. The goal was a blend that sounded like the massive riffs of Royal Blood colliding with the dazzling pop genius of Charli XCX. Bassist Ollie Green and drummer Cody Jones took the bait, and the lineup was set in 2022. The band moved in together at Cavelle’s parents’ house, rehearsed until they dropped, and, on the spur of the moment, borrowed their name from a sign at the Westgate Oxford shopping center.
What these four musicians are dishing out, they themselves call “Y2K Core.” It’s a journey through time with a built-in turbocharger. South Arcade draw freely from the late ’90s and early 2000s, blending the brutal, sledgehammer guitars of Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit with the sugar-sweet, outrageously catchy hooks of Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears, or Gwen Stefani. Hits like “DANGER,” “Nepo Baby,” and the magnificent “2005”—whose music video is a visual homage to Apple’s legendary iPod commercials—are going viral online and easily racking up well over twenty million streams each.
But the true magnitude of this seismic shift cannot be measured by algorithms. You have to feel it. Live concerts and worldwide tours are the beating heart of this success. Their shows are high-energy explosions that transform the audience into a raging sea from the very first chord. After a completely sold-out headlining tour across North America last fall, the band is now eager to conquer larger arenas. Their schedule reads like a sports lineup: whether opening for stadium-sized acts like 5 Seconds of Summer, on the hallowed festival grounds at Download and Reading, or up north at the Deichbrand Festival—South Arcade tears down every stage they’re put on. Their win for “Best UK Breakthrough Artist” and nomination for “Best Breakthrough Live Artist” at the Heavy Music Awards underscore that a new live powerhouse is on the rise.
Anyone who wants to experience this raw energy, the earth-shaking riffs, and the pure ecstasy in person needs to mark next spring in red on their calendar. In March 2027, South Arcade is coming to Germany for three concerts to prove just how loud the future really is.
