Only for a brief moment is the figure that is to be created the actual center. "There is no chasing after an idea here," says Martin Magielka.
A fixed idea of the pictorial space to be created would be downright obstructive - the constant repetition of a tried and tested concept is a limitation, Martin explained to me. The fact that Martin Magielka belonged to the first generation of German graffiti painters, that skateboarding has shaped his life and that he has been an iconic companion of a cultural sphere for decades - given.
