The sea has always fascinated people: endless expanses, the power of the waves, the play of light and shadow on the surface of the water. At the same time, it can also be stormy and wild, relentless, impressive and dangerous at the same time. Jón Atli Jónasson picks up on this spellbinding natural force of the sea in his play. "The Deep" follows the story of a first-person narrator who goes fishing on an old pot. Three hundred tons of steel - and a storm that causes it to sink. Surrounded by masses of water, the vulnerability of man becomes visible and the question of what is actually important to us in life.
