On Saturday, January 24, from 18:00 to 19:00, we will come together at Rudolfplatz to create a silent space of remembrance.
This vigil is not a party political space.
There will be no speeches, no slogans and no political demands.
As children of the Iranian diaspora - many of us grew up between here and there - we carry within us memories, stories and losses that often have no public place. This vigil arises from the need to create space for precisely that: for pausing together, for mourning, for closeness and for connection.
Together with our loved ones and all those who feel addressed, we would like to open a place where people can come together to show silent solidarity with the people of Iran and Eastern Kurdistan.
We would be delighted if you could join us in making a statement. Feel free to bring your friends, families and loved ones - regardless of where you come from, who you love or what religion you belong to.
We are happy about every single person
who shares this moment of pause with us.
For women - life - freedom.
For a free Iran.
