🍿 About the film: Don Lockwood is a popular silent film star who celebrates great success with his film partner Lina Lamont. However, technical advances are fundamentally changing the film industry. Lina in particular is unable to cope with the new sound film technology, as her shrill voice is not suitable for this type of film. To solve this problem, Don's best friend Cosmo Brown suggests replacing Lina's voice with that of another actress. This idea doesn't please the feisty diva Lina in particular, as she sees Kathy Selden, who is to lend her voice, as big competition. Lina therefore tries to hinder Kathy's acting career.
