10 pm - 1:30 am I Süperdisko Roots Set

We start right at 22:00 with a lightning start:
Straight into the vinyl treasure troves of Burakete & Seksi Pil - full of Anatolian psychedelic rock anthems, Turkish disco, funk & folk gems, Arabesk hits, Halay, Govend & Dabke, garnished with Persian rare grooves, Habibi funk classics and NewWave Anatolian-SWANA synthpop bangers.

1:30 - 3:30 I Mehmet Aslan, Basel/Berlin

The perfect transition from the warm Süperdisko roots set to the electronic acid kebap dimension. At least one Mehmet Aslan track/edit on EVERY SÜPERDISKO. Tracks/edits such as "Baladi" or "Sevmek Istiyorum" are among the cornerstones of a global electronic music scene that seeks and sets new narratives beyond white techno bubbles. With his debut EP "Mechanical Turk", he already set an exclamation mark in 2014. Further releases on Huntley & Palmers, his own Fleeting Wax label or his current LiveBand project underpin his innovative and avant-garde reputation internationally.

Mehmet is one of those artists who interweave electronic club music and diverse (pop) cultural influences so effortlessly that a completely unique sound universe emerges. It's long overdue that Mehmet returns to the Süperdisko decks after more than ten years!

3:30 - 6 I YELIZ, Cologne

The crowd couldn't get enough at the Süperdisko premiere - YELIZ combines driving techno with influences from melodic, trance and acid. Elements from world music and subtle global influences flow into their sets and form a sound that is hypnotic, emotional and uncompromisingly technoid.

Süperdisko is self-empowerment, represents traditions and cultural identities and unites with subculture and scene, breaks up white bubbles & brings diaspora from the cliché corner to the dance floors.

Pluralism must not remain lip service! It must be lived - in the club, in everyday life, on the dance floor. Those who come not only celebrate, but also break habits, break down stereotypes, take away racism and make hybrid perspectives tangible.
