It's been so cold for days that old Pettersson and his cat Findus don't want to stick their noses out of the door, and just as it gets a little warmer, the old man sprains his ankle. But tomorrow is Christmas Eve. How are they supposed to get a Christmas tree now? And how will they get stockfish, meatballs and gingerbread? What a lovely present! But on Christmas Eve, a wonderfully Christmassy present awaits the old man and his cat ...

Against a lovingly designed backdrop and with wooden hand puppets, the puppet theater Kunterbunt plays a Christmas story with the popular picture book characters.
