Hildegard Knef would have been 100 years old on December 28, 2025.
How do you pay tribute to "our last German diva", as she is often called? Sylvia Brécko asked herself this question and approached Knef as an artist and journalist: The former Westdeutscher Rundfunk presenter and author lets Hilde herself have her say by quoting from Knef's books and the numerous television interviews she gave. These thought-provoking and laughter-inducing passages are supplemented by Sylvia Brécko with self-ironic, melancholy and sometimes frivolous chansons by the exceptional artist. In this way, a picture of Hilde emerges that at times brings her very close to the audience and perhaps even expands the previous view of Knef to include completely new aspects. Look forward to a lovingly staged homage to a fascinating woman!
