In the organizer's words:

The 20-hectare site of Diakonie Michaelshoven is home to many listed buildings with classic elements of 1950s architecture, such as clear structures, grid facades and free-floating staircases.

In the center of the listed site, which is modeled on a medieval round village, is the architecturally unusual church, which is also a listed building. The listed park, which is modeled on an English landscape park, is also worth seeing.

The guided tours provide examples of how houses can be converted and modernized with due regard to their listed status and thus put to new use.

The guided tours are led by Carlos Stemmerich. Registration is not required.
