At Migra-Night, host and journalist Nada Assaad talks with a lot of heart and humor with guests about topics that are burning in the Migra world, but which concern everyone. The guests who sit on stage with Nada are always a mix of politics, culture and civil society with different migration stories. Migra-Night is definitely not a random talk panel, but a wild late-night show without taboos (only not so late).

The aim of Migra-Night is to break down clichés and build bridges between people with and without a history of migration. Nada herself has Syrian roots and is not afraid to ask some really awkward questions.

OMAR JATTA

Omar Jatta is shaking up the German Afro scene. The Afro-German artist with roots in Gambia and Senegal combines Afrobeats, Amapiano and Afro-Drill with conscious lyrics in German and Mandinka. His songs are about origin, attitude and life in the diaspora - critical and empowering at the same time.

LARA ROTH

Lara Roth is a producer, artist and drummer in the band Grenzkontrolle. Lara sees herself as an interdisciplinary artist from Cologne with a history of migration in the third generation.
Her family roots combine Turkish, Kurdish/Arabic and Eastern European influences - characterized by constant migration over generations. In her music and art, she processes this fragmented identity and searches for a connection to the stories and sounds of her roots.

YASEMIN GENÇ

Yasemin Genç combines opposites in her person that enrich each other: As a high school teacher of English, history and politics, she shapes the education of young people, while as a DJ she curates music from all over the world. Born as a third-generation child of migrant workers with Alevi roots, she brings a variety of perspectives and life experiences to her work and commitment. Her commitment to human rights runs like a thread through her life, whether in classrooms, on panels or at public events. She is particularly passionate about empowering marginalized voices.
