The production, which was canceled at short notice during the Schillertage 2025, will be made up for on 03. & 04.10. at EinTanzHaus! What is it about? Two couples live in their own houses and gardens. One day, a group of young people appears: they stop and look into the couples' courtyards. The group of "others" remain silent, they only open their mouths, but their silence undermines the everyday routine of the two couples. Silence eventually leads to action, triggering primal fears and hatred. Violence is inevitable. Gilad Evron's play confronts us with the source of terrible human suffering, which takes so many different - visible and invisible - forms: Racism. Why go there? "Terribly Human" outlines an initial situation that gets under your skin precisely because it is surprising and unrelenting in its simplicity. Insider info: manmaRo is not an official group, but sees itself as an idea. It was created in the course of the premiere of the one-man show "The Bees' Road", performed by Khalifa Natour and directed by Ofira Henig at the Berlin Schaubühne in 2016. The two have been working together for over 30 years and form the core of manmaRo, which sees art, humanism and political awareness as a way of life. With each new project, they are joined by other artists who, beyond their talent, believe in this way of research and creative work based on a humanistic perspective.
