Frankfurt, August 02, 2023 - After two successful German tours in November 2019 and September 2022, Canadian Americana duo The Bros. Landreth will tour here again. Singer and guitarist Joey Landreth and his brother David Landreth (bass, vocals) will be supported live by Ariel Posen (guitar) and Ryan Voth (drums) in Isernhagen on November 23, 2023 (Blues Garage), in Hamburg on November 24, 2023 (KENT Club) and in Cologne on November 25. Deutschlandfunk's commentary on the latest tour speaks volumes: "The Canadian brothers David and Joey Landreth play music between Americana, country and blues: high-quality craftsmanship, independent and soulful storytelling. In this country, they are still playing in smaller clubs, but that is likely to change in the future. "This assessment is no coincidence, because anyone whose debut album directly wins the Juno Award, the Canadian equivalent of the U.S. Grammy, must have done a lot right at the beginning of his career. An easy task, because Americana sounds are laid in their cradle: The band members grow up in the remote prairie town of Winnipeg, Manitoba; father Wally Landreth plays in bars while brothers David and Joey sit in strollers. "Mom would push us under the bar tables, where we would fall asleep," David says. "Dad was a professional musician and played in the backing band of people like Amos Garrett, but his great love was songwriting." Adds Joey, the group's frontman and main songwriter, "We were always surrounded by music. We didn't have a choice, we were baptized with music. "Years later, Joey and David hang up their jobs as backing musicians and form their own group, drummer Ryan Voth and guitarist Ariel Posen becoming part of the band. Together, The Bros. Landreth begin to draw on that familiar sound and intertwine Americana roots with their own experiences. In 2013, the roots-rock quartet loads up their Dodge van for the first time to tour Canada and debut "Let It Lie." A year later, The Bros. Landreth expand their circles, playing shows on three continents. In 2015, they receive the Juno Award in the category 'Roots & Traditional Album Of The Year'.In the fall of 2016, the band goes on hiatus, giving Joey the opportunity to further build his reputation as a top-notch guitarist with the release of his solo albums "Whiskey" (2017) and "Hindsight" (2019). He tours extensively throughout Canada, USA, UK and Germany. Joey's booming solo career might have delayed time for the brothers, but they never stop writing songs to record for their long-awaited follow-up release "'87" (2019).The tour for it falls victim to the pandemic, and the third album "Come Morning" is created in a very intense atmosphere. The two brothers work together for hours on their songs, recording instrument by instrument one after the other. The sounds are checked again and again, even the guitar has to take a back seat, keyboards are used adequately. Slowly, but surely, an album comes about that is designed for the heart, the head and the headphones at the same time. And this time not only the songs tell a story, but also the sounds. That The Bros. Landreth have meanwhile arrived in the first league of Americana is also proven by the fact that country superstar Bonnie Raitt wins a Grammy for her version of the Landreth song "Made Up Mind" from the debut "Let It Lie" parallel to the release of "Come Morning" in spring 2022 and is very happy about it: "I haven't liked a band like The Bros. Landreth in a long time. They blew me away! Great vocals, they master their instruments and play killer slide guitars, their songs inspire the listener." And that's exactly what fans get to experience in Germany in November. - Let It Lie 10th Anniversary Tour 2023
