A Tribute To Joy Division! Ian Curtis, the Kurt Cobain of the 80s: two albums, a few singles and a live album were enough to create a legend: With JoyDivision and his dark lyrics, Curtis continues to exert a strong influence on the independent post-punk scene to this day. This is our party in honor of Ian Curtis, who with his band Joy Division still occupies an important place in the history of rock music and who influenced many other bands. In the 80s: The Cure, Depeche Mode, The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Tuxedomoon, Chameleons, The Smiths, New Model Army... In the present: Interpol, Placebo, Editors, White Lies, Pixies, ... And of course more sounds from the 80s/90s 2000s wave, indie, post punk, punk rock and old school area. Ian Curtis, the legendary frontman of Joy Division, took his own life at the age of 23. His death on May 18, 1980 also meant the end of the promising band.
