Stuttgart Concert Blog Makes Its Debut at Merlin with an Exhibition

From August 1 through October 2, theGig-Blogwill present a selection of concert photos and quotes from concert reviews under the theme “The Gig-Blog is Present.” From nearly 50,000 photos taken since 2009, twelve Gig-Blog photographers have selected their favorite shots. Writers are enriching the exhibition with their most memorable quotes from 2,500 concert reviews.
The Gig-Blog is here. Wherever live music happens—from stadium events to secret underground gigs. For 17 years, it has documented the diversity of the concert scene in the Stuttgart region. The range of photos on display extends from portraits of superstars to action shots from sweaty live clubs.
The exhibition opens with the start of the KLINKE Festival on August 1 at the Merlin Cultural Center. It will be on view throughout the festival at the Merlin Café, with free admission. It will then continue through October 2, when it will conclude as part of the supporting program for the next Gig-Blog Pop Quiz.

On display will be photos by Patrick Grossien, Michael Haußmann, X-tof Hoyer, Ralph Pache, Dominic Pencz, Reiner Pfisterer, Steffen Schmid, Martin Schniz, Holger Vogt, Michael Weiß, Oliver Wendel, and Marx XembraceX. The exhibition is curated by Thomas Olze and Bertram Pfisterer.
