The Iron Roses caused a stir in the punk scene at the end of 2022, combining their politically charged message of joy and anger with rousing, melodic songs full of energy. Hailing from the US East Coast and fronted by a queer femme duo, the band's unique two-part vocals combine influences from punk, hardcore, ska and even theater. Their songs are direct, honest and full of emotion: they clearly name injustice and privilege while celebrating joy, self-determination and community as the indispensable foundation of resistance.

"Since November 2024, we've been hearing the same hackneyed bullshit everywhere - 'At least we're getting good music out of it. Fuck that. We'd much rather have a world full of equality, food, housing, healthcare, education, peace and love. We'd prefer it if we didn't need the music at all. But the world is on fire, the people in power are pouring gasoline on the fire, and here we are. So thank the universe that we have bands like The Iron Roses. Because they actually deliver on that promise - they write top-notch anthems about the things we're passionate and angry to the core about in a way that no one else does.

Songs we can sing along to at the top of our lungs while trying not to break inside at the cruelty done to everyone who doesn't have the privilege to look the other way.
