THE METEORS

The METEORS, founded in London at the end of the seventies and consisting of P. Paul Fenech and his comrades-in-arms Nigel Lewis and Mark Robertson, are regarded as the inventors of psychobilly. The genre combines fifties rockabilly of the harder kind with shock elements. Their album "In Heaven", released in 1981, should not be missing from any psycho collection. Since the first recordings in 1979, THE METEORS have undergone many line-up changes, with singer and guitarist Fenech being the only original member today. Nevertheless, the band is still active and continues to deliver the sound that has become second nature to their fans.
