The Milt Jackson Project (MJP)* JazzCity Bilk

This is the name of the formation with which vibraphonist Matthias Strucken dedicates himself to his musical idol: Milt Jackson, legendary jazz vibraphonist and co-founder of the Modern Jazz Quartet.

The focus is on the music of his later years: soulful, bluesy and sometimes funky pieces, inspired by recordings with Oscar Peterson, Monty Alexander and Ray Brown - with plenty of room for improvisation. 🎶✨
