album release party on April 5, 2024 at ZOOM Frankfurt.

First joint rehearsal in December 2022. In May 2023 the first sold-out concert. On 05.04. 2024 the release date of the first record, "Hollywood Smile".

Their first shows leave people open-mouthed and happy. They play one of the hottest shows at the Reeperbahn Festival in the packed Molotow-Keller, they take part in the "Female Fronted Is Not A Genre" festival at the legendary SO36 in Berlin and take it by storm. Their performance at Hamburg's Hafenklang at the Sounds of Subterrania Festival became the number one topic of conversation. Visons Magazine is convinced: The Pill can, should and will shape the year 2024. They are ready. They've always been ready. And they have the debut album to go with it. On April 5th, this record will finally be released via Sounds of Subterrania and to mark the occasion, the band is inviting you to Frankfurt's Zoom Club.

But "Too pretty for Punkrock" is not just a release party. It is a small festival that clearly demonstrates the attitude and approach of the Frankfurt punk rock collective "The Pill". Various artists from different genres are united, whose common intersection is reduced to the essentials. ATTITUDE. All artists are unique, have attitude, style and have more than earned their place at the festival.

DIY is not a means to an end for The Pill, but a work ethic learned early on. Everything is created in the band's own cosmos. The idea for the festival, all designs and graphics, texts, booking and realization are The Pill. It's their evening and their festival.

When you talk to the band about the release party, you immediately sense that something big can happen here. There is an incredible amount of love and passion behind it and at least as much experience and professionalism. A mini-festival just as it should be today. Everyone can join in, no one has to stay outside. Sexy. Loud. Unique. With attitude and a desire for demolition. Zeitgeist in difficult times.

If you were to translate the legendary Frankfurt Vice parties of the 00s into today .... you would come very close to "Too pretty for Punk".

LÉ LÉ COCOON

"For me as a drag queen, 'break free' means breaking away from all the rules, from all the norms that are out there." LéLé Cocoon will not only present one of her legendary performances, but will also MC the evening.

DISMALFUCKER

The hardcore punk steamroller from Münster blasts virtuoso crust punk. Honest thrashing with the right attitude and the necessary beer consumption. Dismalfucker is too pretty for punk!

ESTELLINA

ESTELLINA's sound comes from rap and hip-hop, has great soul elements and is not afraid of house and metal! Estellina is supported live by her guitarist Florian Brettschneider.
