Johannesburg underground stalwart DJ Chibukurenga is a cultural activist, musician and filmmaker with 20+ years' experience, he has DJ'd everywhere from New York to Paris and toured from Shanghai to Bogota as a founding member of the award-winning Afro-rock band BLK JKS. "Think Local Funk Global", DJ Chibukurenga's approach to each work, a worldly, transcending genre time and space - never without a certain electric, punk African soul and sensibility in his work.
