Sweet is one of the few infamous "glam rock bands" that had chart success in the 70s, 80s and 90s. They have sold over 30 million records and are still a "live" touring band. Sweet offers much more than just glam rock, their music is timeless and versatile. From pure pop to heavy metal, from songs like Little Willy with only three chords to complex arrangements like Love Is Like Oxygen.

1970 was an important year, Sweet with Andy Scott, Steve Priest, Mick Tucker and Brian Connolly met songwriters Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman and record producer Phil Wainmann. This five-year partnership produced twelve top twenty hits, including a number one. The media then said that the band was a retort band. Die-hard fans knew better. The B sides of the hits contained their own heavy rock compositions. The live performances were sensational, and not just because of the music. Members of the band were arrested in Belgium for an obscene stage performance. All this only boosted their image.

US hits included Ballroom Blitz, which was later featured in the movie "Wayne's World", Fox On The Run, a number two, Action later a hit for Def Leppard and Love Is Like Oxygen at number five. Their album Desolation Boulevard went gold. Love Is Like Oxygen was Sweet's first worldwide hit for three years. The song, written by guitarist Andy Scott, won two Novello Awards. Sweet had finally achieved their goal - recognition in the UK. Then something incredible happened: singer Brian Connolly left the band in January 1979. The remaining trio carried on like a three-piece set, as they were once described, but despite a few hits in Europe and three more albums, it was all over after one last tour in the UK in 1981.

The band had 9 number one titles in Germany during the 70s and are now on the verge of their tenth success. Do It All Over Again, the first single from the new album Sweetlife, which is now finally available in Germany.

In 2017, ANDY SCOTT produced a highly acclaimed album under the name Q.S.P together with SUZI QUATRO and SLADE drummer DON POWELL and went on an extensive Australian tour in 2018.
The release of the new album is now finally planned for 2024.

Andy Scott has been performing on stages around the world for decades. Almost all shows in 2023 were sold out! THE SWEET have lost none of their appeal.

In recent years, the band has sometimes played 12 shows in 14 days. Every month across Europe.
Every day on a different stage in a different city. He doesn't want to take on all this traveling anymore.
It's time for something new. THE SWEET will only perform in selected and special venues and is therefore aiming for so-called double shows, i.e. 2 shows in the same city.
