The sound conjurer

Since the ceremonial reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris, Thierry Escaich has been the titular organist of the world-famous cathedral. He is not only a world-class master of his instrument, but is also known for his imaginative improvisations and compositions. He is therefore an ideal candidate to open the "Pure Organ" series at the Elbphilharmonie this season.
