Threads & Watercolours Exhibition: Mercado Amigo Turns Two

Celebrate two years of Mercado Amigo with a special evening of Latin American art, craftsmanship, interior design, and community in the heart of Munich.

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, Mercado Amigo invites you to an anniversary exhibition featuring original watercolor paintings by Mexican artist Maria Brito, vibrant Mola textile artworks from Colombia, and a curated presentation by guest interior design brand CEYOL (Germany-Mexico).

Maria Brito’s watercolors are inspired by the colors, people, markets, landscapes, traditional clothing, and everyday life of Mexico. Through delicate brushwork and expressive detail, her paintings capture the warmth, authenticity, and visual richness of Mexican culture.

The exhibition will also feature Colombian Mola textile artworks, known for their colorful patterns, layered appliqué technique, and rich visual storytelling. Each piece reflects a distinctive artistic tradition shaped by fabric, color, and craftsmanship.

As a special guest, CEYOL will present a curated selection of ceramic pieces and thread art from Mexico. Their display will bring together traditional craftsmanship, contemporary interior design, and artistic expression.

This evening also marks the second anniversary of Mercado Amigo’s physical store in Munich. Join us to discover the artworks, meet members of our creative community, and celebrate two years of meaningful objects, cultural stories, and personal connections.
