In addition to their ability to make their listeners pause and escape from everyday life, they also manage to seduce and inspire their audience live. Puristic and elegant as a duo, with double bass and drums as a quartet, the two musicians from Cologne change their line-up depending on the surroundings. They always remain true to themselves and never lose their approachability, no matter where and in front of how many people they play. " toi et moi " are Julia Klomfaß and Raphael Hansen, who have dedicated themselves body and soul to music.

Julia Klomfaß sings and plays various instruments such as accordion, piano, singing saw and mandolin. With these sometimes unusual instruments, she lends the songs an individual sound world.
Raphael Hansen is half French, plays guitar, sings and has the greater part in the lyrics and composition of the songs.

They play "Nouvelle Chanson", as they sing in French and combine modern and traditional songwriting elements. The songs sometimes sound groovy and danceable, sometimes melancholic and tender; their music is intended to reflect the whole of life, with all its facets and ups and downs.

"toi et moi" released their sixth studio album "mon armoire" on 14.03.2025 on the Cologne label "gmo-the label", which was nominated for the "German Record Critics' Award" in the World Music category. The playful, positive and groovy title track "mon armoire" is a symbol, a
"armoire" as a repository for "mes memoires", the memories, experiences and emotions. For the German-French musician Raphaël Hansen, who produced the new album and spent his childhood in both Germany and France, the memories of his time with his French family are of great importance.
