Tom Odell moves two concerts of the sold-out German tour to larger venues

from the myticket Jahrhunderthalle to the FESTHALLE FRANKFURT! Admission is already from 18:00.

The anticipation of Tom Odell's fans to be able to experience the musician live is so enormous that his German concerts planned for March and April 2024 were completely sold out within a few days.

Due to the high demand, the concerts in Berlin and Frankfurt will now be moved to larger venues - to the delight of all fans who have not yet bought tickets. Because they now have another chance to see the singer and songwriter live in spring.

Tom Odell has announced his new record "Black Friday" for next January. The Brit is breaking new ground: while he was previously known for his piano-saturated sounds, which earned him the Brit Award among others, he has significantly reduced the production this time. "I recorded the songs last winter and spring," he says of the album, "and tried to leave them as 'unproduced' as possible; I want to give the most honest picture of how I felt during that time." You can clearly hear this on the tracks released so far. The current single "Somebody Else" in particular is a prime example of how sketchy and reduced Odell's approach to his music is. Introduced by a simple piano line, to which he sings along softly in the background, an acoustic guitar accompanies the characteristic voice, which sings of a lost love. Only individual dabs in the arrangement complement the production; the buzzing of the strings as the fingers run along them is the only percussive element and when the piano line reappears, even a small playback remains. And just when you think it's all over, the drums and a restrained bass line surprisingly follow. The whole piece and the whole album seem very raw, but also very fragile. You can feel that this song, as well as the previously released title track "Black Friday" - which already had two million streams on the day of its release - were sung and recorded exactly as they were written. Pure and authentic. The string arrangements and restrained rhythm section on the other songs on the record also emphasize the intimacy of the moment. "Black Friday" perfectly shows the Englishman for what he is: a terrific songwriter. Odell also explains the reason why he chose this approach: "These songs mean a lot to me and I can't wait for everyone to hear them." We are also looking forward to hearing the new album in January and, of course, especially to hearing the new songs live in the spring when Tom Odell joins us on tour for five shows.
