In the organizer's words:

Directly following the Remembering concerts by The Ruffcats and Doug Shorts, this Late Night will feature a DJ tribute to the charismatic DJ Soul Rabbi, who died in January 2025. With his tireless commitment, his deep love of music and his clear attitude, he left his mark on the soul and DJ scene far beyond the dancefloor.

One of his last heartfelt projects was the idea for a compilation with songs by bands he was friends with, the proceeds of which were to support drop-out programs for young people from the right-wing scene. The Soul Rabbi didn't have enough time to complete this project himself - but he left behind enough friends, companions and musicians to carry on his vision.

"Soul Rabbi - Shine On" is the result of this joint effort: a mini-compilation with contributions from The Ruffcats, Doug Shorts, The Soul Snatchers, The Dammnation, Atanga Boom, RAH & Sebastian Sturm. It stands for solidarity, attitude and the unifying power of soul, funk and reggae.

The release evening will also be a musical tribute:
Live on stage from 20:00 will be The Ruffcats as well as Doug Shorts from Master Plan Inc. Further information about the concert can be found here.
The double concert will be followed by a party from 23:30 with DJ companions of the Soul Rabbi, who will exclusively play vinyl - in the spirit of the Soul Rabbi. The compilation will also be available on vinyl for the first time on this evening.

"Soul Rabbi - Shine On" is more than just a concert or a party. It is a farewell, a thank you and a promise to carry on his values.
