Toni Negri is arrested at the end of the 1970s and accused of being the secret mastermind of left-wing terrorism in Italy. Years later he is acquitted and celebrated as an important philosopher - for his daughter Anna, however, the arrest remains a deep rupture. In Venice, the director of this personal work meets her father in front of the camera for the last time. Between political conviction and personal pain, they struggle for closeness, responsibility and the question of what price ideals demand - for a family and an entire generation.
