“Rory” is truly at the very top of these guys’ list! – Rory Gallagher

Every cover or tribute band naturally tries to sound like their musical idol—but with Top Priority, you’ll be amazed at just how far they take it. Anyone who’s ever had the chance to see Rory Gallagher live was surely captivated by his guitar playing! He’s one of those musicians you’d call “one of a kind”! But his unpretentious, blues-infused style—always giving it his all on stage and never being boring—was also impressive.

Dirk Pingel—the “heart and soul” of Top Priority—must be something of a kindred spirit to Rory. His skill on the guitar (whether acoustic or electric) comes very close to the original. His voice is also strikingly similar. And once he’s on stage, you can’t help but think—he even looks like him! That’s surely also because Dirk, Sven, and Stephan place great importance on using authentic instruments and equipment. But the best part is that these guys manage to recreate the feeling that made us fall in love with Rory Gallagher in the first place!
