A musician dances with his cello. Chairs turn all by themselves and glasses become acrobatic marvels. Join us on a hypnotic journey between madness and meditation.
Finding calm in the storm is probably a need for many people in today's world. To take a step back, away from megalomania and consumption, towards what is directly around us. To recognize the potential in this and get one step closer to the core of our own reality. David Eisele approaches this attempt in his piece TORNADO'S EYE, in which he places the cello at the center and creates a symbiosis between live music, dance and object manipulation. The props all have one thing in common: they can turn or spin in a variety of ways. The chair spins like a potter's wheel, the glass becomes a diabolo and the cello takes on a life of its own. This artistic energy creates a piece that transforms the spinning dance into a meditative trance and invites the audience to deep relaxation and focus.
