Lecture by Markus Weinberg
The Tour Divide is one of the longest bikepacking races in the world and leads over 4,400 km from Canada always following the Rocky Mountains to the US-Mexican border. A route that is not only extremely long, but in the course of which there are numerous challenges such as snow in the heights of the mountains or tropical heat in the desert to master. And all this in a race that requires perseverance, endurance and also luck with the bike material. After 20 days, 11 hours and 14 minutes, Markus has reached the finish line in Antelope Wells, having survived the Tour Divide. The 2022 race was one of the toughest since the beginning of these races and has left corresponding traces - but also held for Markus endless moments of happiness and wonderful encounters with people along the route!
